![]() The manager even waited next to the parking garage to direct us. We called and they tried their best to help us find them. We got lost in the city (in the dark) while looking for the hotel. Thank you ladies (one of them was named Jessica). Friendly, helpful staff.especially the 2 young ladies that "run" the included breakfast. Beautiful hotel in the middle of the business district (right near the convention center). We were the first guests to use our assigned room and here's my feedback: 1. During my hotel search, I found this new property by Hilton (it just opened on August 11th). Sadly, I went to see the Phillies with my family (I'm a Yankees fan and a New Yorker.the kids all like the Phillies for some reason). We just returned from a trip to Philadelphia to visit Citzen's Bank Park (for a baseball game). Expect to pay 30 bucks a day at a local garage. TWICE I stopped and asked the front desk to have someone bring up some bulbs, but no one ever came, in two days. When I checked in I a Discovered that two of the three lamps had no light bulbs in them. THE SERVICES Ok, in general the staff was very nice and friendly, but I have one gripe. Sure they have a couple of recumbent bikes and one upright bike, all by Precor, but they are crappy and ey ain't no spin bikes. The fitness center is called "Spin2cycle". The coffee is good but not available all day. However the oatmeal (actually I think it was Cream Of Wheat) was cold and indelible. BREAKFAST The breakfast was nice and there was plenty to eat. The desk is decent and converts to a conference table, and there are plenty of outlets. There is a full kitchenette with a full size fridge (one that is probably rarely used and negates the savings of the CFLs), a dishwasher, and even a sink disposer. ![]() I like that they have automatic soap and shampoo dispensers in the shower, to save resources. The bathrooms are clean and pleasant, though the water pressure was pathetically weak in the shower. ![]() This is unfortunately enhanced by the energy-saving CFL bulbs. As a result, they are not really very warm or inviting but rather a little bit cold feeling. ROOM DESIGN The rooms were designed to have a metropolitan, post-modern feel to them. But there were definitely some drawbacks. The concept focus around "being green" while providing rooms that have plenty of amenities especially for extended stays. This hotel has its heart in the right place. ![]()
